finding spyware

We have all had the problem with our computers that at times, may seem to live a life on their own and hang up without reasons. This can come from spyware or viruses, or it can have something to do with your hard drive not being formatted in a while.

Often our computers gets infected by so called spyware, this is malicious software that can get into your computer when you surf the internet, and especially when we download something from the net.

To find out if your computer has gotten infected by spyware I would recommend downloading a spyware checker and removal program, as this can help remove the unwanted programs and give your computer back its speed it once had.

Personally I use a software called Ad-Aware which is the best free option that is on the internet, there are also many softwares that you have to pay for, these may do the job too, but often the free ad aware option will give the same results when removing and finding spyware as the paid software will do.

I had something called HotBar installed when I was surfing the web, this spyware would hijack my computer so that when I searched for something in Google, deals on different shopping items would pop up in the left sidebar, ad aware identified this as “shopper reports” and it was quite annoying as each time I did a search in google this sidebar would pop out of no where. If you are having these problems that I had, I would highly recommend downloading Ad-Aware and getting your computer cleaned up. Good luck.
